Battery Revival

The customer is charged a fee of $20 US ($25 CDN) prepaid per battery pack. If the battery is found to be suffering one of the conditions that can be remedied using our special equipment, the battery is sent back to the customer ready to use again.

Each battery will come with a label detailing the performance characteristics of the battery after "revival" and a 6 month guaranty certificate worth $20 US ($25 CDN). The value of this certificate can be applied to the re-celling cost of the original battery, should it fail in performance again within 6 months.

Revival Process

The customer should schedule being without his battery for at least one week - excluding shipping time. Certain revival procedures may take only 72 hrs and the battery is sent back to the customer. In certain cases the revival process yields no noticeable improvement in battery performance. In these cases, the customer is contacted immediately with the results and a decision is made on re-celling of the pack. If re-celling is requested by the customer, the $25 pre-payment will be applied to the re-celling cost.

Maintenance Program

There are no set rules on how many times a battery can be revived. Generally, the greatest hope for success should be given to battery packs that have had a cycle life of less than 500 cycles. The customer will find that most problems arise with back-up battery packs, which are used infrequently to take over for the daily battery packs cycled regularly. Also, high capacity (i.e. > 4.0 Ah) battery packs have a tendency to show symptoms more often due to their low drain rate/capacity ratio.
